Ghostbusters

‘Ghostbusters’ trivia: Bustin’ makes me feel good

Was “Ghostbusters Afterlife” overly packed with fan service and references to the original film? Hell, yes, and I loved it. The original rules, and I made a mini quiz about it.

Ghostbusters Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man
“He’s a sailor, he’s in New York. We get this guy laid, we won’t have any trouble.”

The only thing that could make the original better, for my money, is the presence of Paul Rudd.

Riddle me this:

  1. At the start of the film, Venkman, Egon and Ray have their grant revoked and get kicked out of their university offices by Dean Yeager. What university did they work for?
  2. Dana Barrett gets possessed by Zuul the Gatekeeper while her mild-mannered neighbor, Louis Tully, gets possessed by whom?
  3. When trying to explain to Winston the extremely high levels of psychokinetic energy happening in New York City, Egon uses what snack food as an analogy?
  4. What was Ray’s plan for the ghost that the guys encounter at the New York Public Library? (Spoiler: It doesn’t work.)
  5. Walter Peck, a grade-A jerk played by quintessential ‘80s jerk William Atherton, tries to get the guys arrested and gives the order to shut down the protection grid, loosing ghosts all over the city. What agency does he work for?

Answers up after the trailer for the 2016 “Ghostbusters” which was perfectly watchable even if you could tell it was noted to death.
